NEW construction design-build with Wannemacher Jensen Architects of a 3-story student success center, veterans affairs, auditorium and renovations to an existing administration building.
The original design contained curtain wall glass and polished steel railings. The railing would have become untouchable under the Florida heat, and the excessive glass raised the price of the project considerably. LEMA opted for cabling in place of the glass and selected stainless steel for the railings, keeping the aesthetic appeal of the building while using more practical materials, resulting in considerable cost savings.
